NEW THIS YEAR we will be having the Pre-Event 50/50 which is a pre-sold 50/50 raffle that has to be purchased by July 31st to be entered. We will draw the Pre-Event 50/50 to kick off the show on Friday at 6pm. Unlike the 50/50 drawings during the weekend of the Classic, the Pre-Event 50/50 winner does not need to be present to win – who knows how big this 50/50 can get! The cost for the Pre-Event 50/50 will be $25 each or 3 for $50 and one winner will win ½ the pot collected, we will keep you posted on what the running total is throughout the year. The Pre-Event 50/50 Raffle can be purchased on your Mail-In Order Form, on our website (www.deerassicclassic.com), by stopping in our Office Monday-Friday from 8am – 4pm or by calling our ticket hotline at 740-435-9500. We still will have our normal 50/50 drawings throughout the weekend on each day (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday). You can still get all other Deerassic Classic tickets for the same great price as before (we have never increased ticket prices in 17 years – we have only added ticket purchasing options), this is just an additional raffle that is an option for our attendees who have asked for a Pre-Event 50/50. The most unique outdoor event in the country has to be the Deerassic Classic Giveaway and Outdoor Expo held annually in Cambridge, Ohio, which will be held this year August 2nd and 3rd. Part trade show, part charity raffle and a mostly just a really good time; the Deerassic Classic Giveaway and Outdoor Expo is the annual fundraiser held by the National Whitetail Deer Education Foundation. This two day event for adults 18 years and older, held annually for the past 16 years, is an opportunity for supporters of outdoor education to gather for one cause, providing youth & family educational programs. The Deerassic Classic Giveaway & Outdoor Expo officially begins on the first Friday in August. With gates opening at 1pm, it's a race for patrons (some of who have been in line since midnight) to pick out their perfect spot for their pop-up tent to spend the rest of the event. For others, who come in a little later, there is still plenty of seating available. Throughout the day Friday, there are side raffles, mystery safe raffles, food and drinks, stage shows, celebrities to meet and vendors to visit. At six o'clock, the Big Buck Bonus Raffle begins, with 101 prizes being awarded including, trucks, cars, side by sides, firearms, bows hunts, vacations and of course, cold hard cash. Back by popular request, the Big Buck Bonus Grand Prize will be a 2-Story Cabin! The evening's festivities conclude with the 50/50 drawing (2018: $108,000+), and a concert by country legend John Michael Montgomery. If you do not have a Big Buck Bonus Ticket, the only other way to enter the Friday event is to purchase a gate pass for $30 or a weekend gate pass for $50 – this will not enter you into the Big Buck Bonus drawings but you can still enter all side raffles at the event and stay for the John Michael Montgomery concert.
Saturday follows a similar course; however it is on a much bigger scale. The Classic prize list includes many of the same types of prizes as the Big Buck Bonus, with the drawing starting at noon. For the next seven hours, a prize is drawn every 2 minutes. On the side stages the Loot & Shoot, Cold Hard Cash and Locked and Loaded are being drawn. At 8:30 the Saturday 50/50 drawing (2018: $253,000+) is held, followed by a concert by the one and only Tracy Byrd. For those people who are looking for a place to stay during the event, there is camping available on the property. Camping passes for the week before and including through the Classic are $100. If you order by February 28th, 2019, you will receive a discounted rate of $90 on your camping preorder, only available online or by calling the ticket hotline (740) 435-9500. On Thursday night, we also have the campground party, with stage shows, celebrities, games, contests, music and more on Thursday August 1st, 2019.
Deerassic Classic Giveaway and Outdoor Expo tickets are available by calling the park (740) 435-9500, on our website www.deerassicclassic.com, or through a local ticket agent listed on the website. Tickets start at $50 for the Big Buck Bonus which includes admission on Friday. The Classic Ticket for $100 includes admission on Saturday and a meal. Loot & Shoot, Cold Hard Cash, Locked and Loaded tickets, and Pre-Event 50/50 are also for sale at $25 each or 3/$50. The most popular by far however is the Gold Combo which includes your Classic, Big Buck Bonus and 3 each of the stub tickets, for $200 (a $300 value if purchased separately). We also have the side raffle combo, which is three of the side raffle packages (a $150 value) on sale for $100, this ticket combo does not include admission to the event. Ticket sales of the Classic and the Big Buck Bonus raffles are limited to the first 10,000 purchasers. We do sell out and tickets will most likely not be available months before the event. While the proceeds from this event fund youth education initiatives, this event is limited to ages 18 and older. No one under 18 will be admitted to the show or allowed to be present on the grounds. Remember to get your Gold Combo by February 28th, 2018 to be entered into the Super Early Bird Drawing (50 extra chances at $500) and by May 31st, 2018 to be entered into the Extended Early Bird Drawing (50 extra chances at $250). This year, only Gold Combo purchasers will be entered into the Super Early Bird and Extended Early Bird Drawings.
